We are currently recruiting for a Systems Support Engineer to join us in our IT Services team.  You will be required to provide 2nd line IT support for the College staff and other key stakeholders, manage and resolve support calls, working with 3rd line support when required.

The core requirements for this role are solid network configuration and troubleshooting, and server deployment and administration (Windows and Linux), utilising best industry practices especially around security. In addition, we’re looking for experience across other technology areas, including desktop and mobile device management especially exposure to network configuration and support.

At SDC we have a mix of Windows and Linux servers, Veeam, Windows, Mac and mobile endpoints, Exchange and Office 365 all connected by a Cisco and Meraki network protected by Sophos UTM and Cisco ASA. Experience of using and maintaining Microsoft SCCM and Meraki MDM would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be willing to undertake additional vendor specific training/qualifications when required, have experience in a similar role and be working in a customer–focused environment.
