This is a part time position working 2 days a week

CornwallLive is one of the largest and most trusted news websites in the South West, keeping rapidly growing numbers of readers informed about everything that's happening in the region, championing the county and shining a light on what's good and what's not in a modern and vibrant way. The site generates millions of page views a month, with tens of thousands of loyal readers visiting at least every other day.

This incredibly successful team is looking for a Life Writer who will find and report on the aspects of life which matter to local readers away from the main news agenda. We are looking for someone who can live and breathe the Devon lifestyle, guiding our readers to everything from the best beaches and restaurants to the hottest properties and the most unmissable events.

In this role you will provide articles and content which informs, indulges, inspires and involves readers, and makes us more part of readers' lives beyond the regular news agenda.

Role Responsibility
What will the role involve?
Find and tell stories about local communities which engages as many readers as possible, or stories which will be of interest to local communities
Build communities online and in real life to share stories with once published, and engaged with readers about those stories
Tell stories in many different ways, including (but not limited to) real-time live blogs, article format, video, audio and pictures

The ideal candidate
What are we looking for?
Digital publishing skills - working a CMS, shooting video, taking picturesSocial media skills - following on social media, track record of building communities on social media
Passion for digital storytelling in local journalism
A driving licence is preferable
Strong track record in telling stories, accurately, which engage large audience
Proven track record for digital storytelling
