Queenscourt Hospice is an independent charity that provides free, specialist palliative care for the people of Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. We care for patients with advanced progressive, illnesses, helping them to achieve the best possible quality of life.

Supportive & Specialist Palliative Care Co-Ordinator

£20,958 - £24,655

Permanent, 15 hours per week

Location: Southport, Merseyside

The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team assisting in co-ordinating the work of our hospital and community Supportive & Specialist Palliative Care Services. The post holder will be predominately based at Queenscourt Hospice with some work across Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals and within the Queenscourt community catchment area. You will require a driving licence and have access to a car. This post works across a 7 day week with weekend working on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate must have experience of working with an electronic clinical record system, experience of minute taking including the use of medical terminology and experience of liaising with healthcare professionals, patients and their families. Applicants must be able to work under pressure, have the confidence in dealing with difficult conversations and have the ability to prioritise. Medical secretarial skills and knowledge are essential.
