Salary: £16,540 - £17,790 per annum (Actual)

Location: Bridgwater Campus, TA6 4PZ

To co-ordinate work experience activity for students across further education Health and Social Care courses on both the Taunton and Bridgwater sites. The successful candidate will be student focussed and will have the student’s interest at the heart of what they do, ensuring all learners attain valuable work experience, which enhances their achievement and progression and supports their career aspirations.

You will be able to establish and develop strong relationships with Health and Social care employers with a clear commitment to ensuring these relationships remain long standing. You will consequently be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will equally be confident with working with 16–18-year-olds, helping them to locate a suitable placement that are a compulsory part of all Health and Social Care courses, working closely with the Health and Social Care teaching team.

As a work placement co-ordinator, you will be organised and can prioritise, ensuring that all students are placed in an environment appropriate to their career aims and during their scheduled work experience dates and ensuring that all administration including health and safety checks are complete, as well as supporting the Disclosure and Barring Service process.
