Events Production & Performance Technician -Creative Arts

Salary: £17,190 - £17,534 per annum

Location: Bridgwater Campus

We are looking to recruit an energetic and creative Technician for Events Production and Performance. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about learning and be able to demonstrate a clear focus on enhancing student experience within an exciting, vibrant and highly creative department. You will be able to support students individually, carry out skills demonstrations as required (particularly in lighting design and operation) and work alongside teaching staff to ensure all learners make outstanding progress across the diverse range of study programmes we deliver.

This role will predominately work alongside the Performing and Production Arts Team and will undertake a vast amount of responsibilities to ensure that Health and Safety is universally excellent but also to support learners in workshop settings.

The Performing & Production Arts, Dance and Drama teams present a busy performance schedule throughout the academic year and this role will support them in planning, preparation and assisting in a high quality experience for all involved.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all studios, classrooms and workrooms are well presented and prepared for taught sessions and will also support students in their learning. The successful candidate will work within the Creative Arts technician team and be an innovative, organised and proactive team member.
