Employment, Education, Training (EET) and Wellbeing Coach x3

We are looking for three Coaches to work long-term with a caseload of care experienced young people, building relationships and empowering them to develop fulfilling lives. Two Coaches will be mainly based in Bristol and the third in North Somerset.

Reboot West helps care leavers across the region to succeed in education, training, and work. It is an innovative programme, trialling the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to enable young people to develop confidence and wellbeing. We are expanding the programme and are seeking two new EET and Wellbeing Coaches to provide support to a caseload of Reboot young people (for up to three years).

What we are looking for in you:

  • You engage young people with confidence and passion.
  • You are empathetic and truly understand the needs and experiences of young people leaving care, what they have to offer and the barriers they face.
  • You are able to work on your own initiative as well as collaborating effectively with your team and external stakeholders.
  • Your enthusiasm in supporting young people with a range of needs and challenges enables you to deliver tangible, measurable outcomes for young people, particularly getting them into employment and education. 
  • You are curious about and motivated to use a values-based approach to working with young people.

What you will be doing:

  • By adopting a flexible and creative approach, you will enable young people to improve their confidence and wellbeing, supporting them to access and sustain employment and/or training. This might include meeting young people in café’s, parks, or even gyms!
  • Working in partnership with social services, and other support agencies you will form part of a passionate team of people surrounding each young person, providing holistic and specialist support adapted to meet the needs of each individual.
  • Being well organised and efficient, you will effectively record, and evidence outcomes achieved by young people, ensuring safe working practice, and contributing to our effort to secure future funding of the project.

You will be in the Reboot West team. Your line manager will be a Reboot West team leader.

What we are offering:

  • 30 days holiday plus the usual Public and Bank Holidays.

  • Flexible working hours.

Contract details: 

  • Hours per week: 37.5 (this represents full time hours)
  • Contract type: 2 x Permanent (funding dependent), 1 x Fixed term to 31 August 2022.
  • Pay: £24,491 - £25,991 per annum
  • Location: Bristol / North Somerset or other neighbouring local authority area. (will be agreed at point of offer)
