Project Manager – 2 Year FTC
Based in Birmingham or Bristol (with travel to other ACH offices)
If you are a Project Manager with experience of working in an EU funding framework, this is an exciting opportunity to have a profound impact on the future of one of the UK’s leading refugee integration services.
About Us
ACH is a social enterprise that provides a range of integration and support services for refugees. During the past ten years, we’ve grown from a small-scale housing organisation to a leading provider of integration, employment and housing services for refugees and newly arrived communities in the UK.
We are a leader in social innovation. We tackle integration through a variety of projects and initiatives that benefit refugee and migrant communities. Our #rethinkingrefugee campaign is considered outstanding and reflects our commitment to making sure refugees become part of society, rather than remaining marginalised and under-employed.
Through our training subsidiary, Himilo Training, we are successfully expanding our services to deliver training, development and employment opportunities to the broader communities in which we operate.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join Himilo Training on a two-year, fixed-term contract and oversee a new project to support Third Country National (TCN) entrepreneurs across Bristol, Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
The Benefits
- Salary of £32,000 - £36,000 per annum
- Paid company sick leave
- Company pension after probation period
- Join us at a pivotal point in our evolution
This is a brilliant opportunity to support the success of a promising project that is breaking down barriers for refugees and migrants and delivering real social impact.
For too long, narratives that promote division have dominated our headlines. We see refugees as people with talents, skills, and aspirations. They are assets who can boost our economy and enrich our communities.
We are passionate about challenging stereotypes, changing lives and supporting refugees to successfully integrate into society. If you think you could help us to achieve our goals, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
As the Project Manager, you’ll oversee the successful delivery of the Effective Digital Entrepreneurship & Business Support for Refugees and Migrants (EDEBS) project.
EDEBS will provide innovative, holistic support to TCN entrepreneurs at all stages, from start-up planning through to growth, and will be delivered in partnership with the West of England Combined Authority and University of Bristol.
Working with our Chief Innovation Officer, you’ll be responsible for the overall management of the project across the partnership, including staffing, performance, financial management and reporting, resource development and relationships with funders and stakeholders.
You will also:
- Ensure that project staff have the knowledge and tools to perform at their best
- Act as the first point of contact for the Responsible Authority, Audit Authority and any other agent appointed
- Provide advice on AMIF-specific requirements for all project activities
- Prepare Board reports
About You
To join us as the Project Manager, you will need:
- Project management experience
- Experience of working within an EU funding framework
- Demonstrable knowledge of current AMIF, ESIF or ESF compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and good multi-tasking skills
An understanding of commercial business support activities would be beneficial to your application. A PRINCE2 or similar qualification would also be an advantage.
Other organisations may call this role Business Support Project Manager, Enterprise Project Manager, Programme Manager, Programme Delivery Manager, or Project Delivery Manager.
Webrecruit, ACH and Himilo Training are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
