Group Programme Delivery Manager

As part of our ongoing work we are now looking for a Programme Delivery Manager to act as a critical link between the business units, operations and leadership teams across the Big Issue Group to manage, monitor and report on the delivery of TBI strategic projects ad in particular our Digital Transformation project.
The Role:
This is a newly created role. You will manage cross-group programmes, lead our digital products development projects, build operational processes and guide managers across the Group on project management best practices and reporting.
You will ensure individual projects and the programme are managed to agreed timescales, within agreed costs and to a high-quality standard. This will involve developing and implementing programme and project plans for successful delivery.
You will also identify, assess, manage and communicate risk in relation to the delivery of the programme. Ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to effectively mitigate the risk.
Working across the business you will collaborate with the managers and the Digital Transformation task team to synchronise all digital products projects and to ensure all projects are developed on time, within budget and KPIs are met.
Skills & Experience
• Project management or equivalent - Prince 2/PMI
• Experience in setting up small PMO (desirable)
• Demonstrable evidence of delivering successful projects & programmes
• Experience in using excel at an advance level
• Knowledge and experience of both theoretical and practical application of structured project management methodologies
• Proven work experience in developing operational processes and procedures.
This role is offered on a 1-year fixed term contract basis. The hours can be flexible for the right candidate and we would also be open to discussing this role being taken on a contractor/consultancy basis.
Salary and Benefits for Directly Employed Staff Include:
• Salary commensurate with the third sector, which can be confirmed on request.
• Incremental holiday entitlement starting at 25 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time staff) plus paid leave to care for a sick child or grandchild and a sick or elderly relation
• Incremental sick pay starting at 5 days per rolling year
