Role: Ceiling Track Install Engineer

Location: NRS Healthcare - Oxford (possible need to work in Southampton/Portsmouth

Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP25,750

Hours: Monday - Friday, 5 days, 8-4pm

The Role

The successful applicant will be working within a small but growing team installing ceiling track hoist systems. There is also the requirement to undertake survey visits, where you will meet with an OT or other healthcare professional onsite to ascertain the best lifting solution for the service user. The role will predominantly be working within the Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Southampton and Portsmouth areas. As new contracts are awarded to NRS the ceiling track team will be required take on further work as required across wider areas.

The purpose of the Installation Engineer will be to undertake the installation of ceiling track hoists. Working in service user's private residents, care homes and on occasion hospital settings. There will also be a requirement to assist with the service and maintenance of equipment from time to time. There will be occasions where support is required across the business and there would be the expectation for the successful applicant to assist as needed. This include the occasional over night stay. Hotels are provided alongside meal allowance for those occasions.

The successful applicant will always ensure , that standards of service as specified by the company are met and where possible exceeded.

The main responsibilities of the role:

  • To ensure that all equipment is installed /maintained to the standards set by the Company and the Manufacturer
  • To carry out survey visits alongside healthcare professionals in order to agree the correct lifting solution for the user
  • Refurbishment of equipment to allow re-use at a later date
  • Ensure that all records are completed to the Company and/or manufacturer's standards
  • To install electro-mechanical equipment for use of the service user
  • To collect and return ceiling track equipment from service users
  • Ensure that all scrapped equipment is disposed of in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Comply with all Company PPE requirements

They will also responsible in supporting management in the development and maintenance of a culture that is fully supportive and compliant with the NRS Health & Safety Management System.

Applicants must have:

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Disability awareness.
  • Self-motivation but able to work as part of a team.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Good route planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry loads within the H&S Manual Handling criteria.
  • A clean, relevant and in date driving licence.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous experience in a technical environment
  • Be able to demonstrate skill in an electro/mechanical role
  • A can do attitude and problem solving skills.

Desirable but not essential Skills:

??Previous industry experience

??Understanding of LOLER regulations

??Ceiling Track Installation experience
