Legal Cashier
LEGAL CASHIER
CANTERBURY
SALARY DEPENDANT UPON EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a full-time Legal Cashier with at least 2 years' experience to join the team based at the Canterbury office.
The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager and other members of the team with mainly client and some office work as required. In addition, you will support the Accounts team with compliance of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and maintaining high standards.
A good working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and Excel is essential. Knowledge of Practice Manager and Visualfiles would be an advantage.
An ILFM Diploma is preferable but not essential.
Main duties
To assist the team with the processing of client work which includes:
• Processing banking and on occasion carrying out the daily bank run
• Issuing cheques
• Billing
• Bank reconciliations
• Taking client card payments
• Transfers and bad debt relief
• Processing conveyancing completions
• Reconciling controlled trusts
• Processing electronic payments
• Processing petty cash
• Processing cost transfers
• Checking archiving
• Troubleshooting
• Housekeeping
• Any other duties required
The successful candidate must have an interest in working within solicitors and legal accounts, whilst being able to demonstrate good people and communication skills, be able to work on their own or as part of a team as directed and have the ability to multi-task whilst working under pressure.
