Are you looking for a Permanent role with an opportunity to grow with a market leading and rapidly expanding parcel delivery business?

Staffline is recruiting for Counterbalance Forklift Truck Drivers to work at our client's brand new depot in Castleford, Normanton.

The rate of pay is from GBP9.20 to GBP10.00 per hour.

You will work flexible shifts in this full-time role and the hours of work are:

- 2pm to 10pm
- 8pm to 4am

Training and inductions to start immediately.

Your Time at Work

The FLT Driver position at our client site in Castleford will be partly operating FLT and partly as a parcel sorter/loader and will be responsible for the loading and unloading of vehicles and the sortation and scanning of parcels into cages.

This role requires the manual handling of both small and large items and sacks, physical as well as mental agility is needed.

This is a fast paced environment and you will need to keep up with the line.

About the Role:

You'll report into your Shift Supervisor and Night shift Manager, where you will be part of a shift that processes a large volume of parcels. Depending on which shift and what day, it may be anything from 40,000 to a 100,000 parcels in a shift.

But don't worry you won't be tackling them alone!

You'll work as part of a team and use some really smart kit to help you sort all those parcels efficiently. You'll use Hand-Held Terminals (HHT's), pump-trucks and work on fancy conveyor systems that bring the parcels to you and then you will sort them into smaller 'collars' for certain areas and postcodes.

This isn't an easy job and at times you will have to deal with large volumes but then there will be times when the volumes are lighter and you'll have chance to gain new skills and experience.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver's licence and have previous experience within a similar role.

You will work quickly and accurately, and be comfortable with carrying out repetitive manual handling tasks.

You must be available to work Sunday to Friday with a day off in the week. Sunday will be a regular working day as part of your rota and you will get approx. 1 in 4 Sundays off as part of your rota.

You will be flexible to start work between 12:00 and 15:00 for the afternoon shift and 19:00 and 21:30 for the night shift on your planned days and be able to commit to a rota.

Shifts will normally be between 6 and 8 hours so will require a degree of flexibility.

All rotas will be confirmed and in place for the full 12 weeks until you are taken on permanently, unlike other agency positions you will know what shifts you are working so that you can make plans.
