Our Warehouse Shift Managers work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, on days or nights. We are looking for someone to work alongside them to strengthen our teams and develop our workforce.
When the Shift Managers are on holiday you will be covering their shifts so a flexible approach to working hours is needed.
Working in a very fast-moving environment, you will spend the first 3 months developing your skills and will be trained in all of our warehouse procedures and policies. Your hours of work will be 2.00pm - 10.00pm, Monday to Friday, unless you are covering for another manager and then they will be either 6.00am - 6.00pm or 6.00pm - 6.00am, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Role Responsibilities
?? Working together with the other Shift Managers, you will proactively lead improvement activities and drive the achievement of KPI targets of the teams.
?? Using your own experiences, your aim will be to increase performance beyond the target rates.
?? Part of the role will be to carry out a stock control project, so experience in this area would be highly beneficial.
?? Support, mentor and encourage team members to maximise their potential.
?? Encourage training within the department, making sure the teams are kept informed of any opportunities for development.
?? Ensure that Company rules, including the Disciplinary and Grievance procedures, are correctly and consistently applied.
?? Working with the other managers, you will host customer visits and audits.
?? Promote good working practices, setting an example to team members.
The Ideal Candidate
Warehouse management experience within the food industry is essential; you will have worked alongside Technical and Production departments throughout your career.
You will be a natural leader who is self-motivated and enjoys the buzz of working in a fast-paced environment. You must be willing to face challenges head on and are expected to be a problem-solver.
