Senior Fundraising Officer (Grants)
Curdridge, Hampshire
Full Time - 35 hours per week

£27,000
Do you want to create a wilder Hampshire and Isle of Wight?
With the invaluable support of volunteers and members our client manages over 50 nature reserves. They also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.
The role:
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Fundraising Officer (Grants) to join their Fundraising and Communications team. The main purpose of this incredibly important role is to design and implement a growth strategy to build the income stream, coordinating the grants income function and raising the external profile of the trust. Against a background of low growth economy and increased competition for funds, you’ll be required to use your existing connections and networks to lead a culture change in the Trust to release the capacity to fundraise significant new sums.
About you:
They are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a grants fundraising role.
- Experience of working to financial income targets and managing bespoke parts of budgets
- Experience of researching, collating, preparing and submitting multiple funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations
- Knowledge of the UK grant making landscape along with experience of securing grants from trusts and foundations
- Strong time management and organisational skills along with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Excellent relationship building qualities, a flexible approach and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team
- A passion for wildlife conservation and nature
- An understanding of environmental and sustainability issues (desirable)
This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their knowledge in the environmental sector during a hugely important time for our client.
The closing date for this role is 11th November.
