Job Title: Fabricator Foreman - Sheet Metal

Location: Bilston

Salary: Up to GBP16 per Hour

Hours: Days only; 39 hours a week Mon-Thur 8.00am -16.30pm with an early finish on a Friday; some flexibility surrounding start and finish times

The company

This highly successful Sheet Metal company specialises in manufacturing Leisure and storage products. Their order books are full, and they have excellent resources and facilities. They have been out sourcing most of the work, and are now ready to bring this in-house.

Situated in Bilston, they are close to all major public transport links and there is some flexibility of working hours to fit in with school runs etc

The job role

This is very much a hands-on foreman/supervisor team leader role, where you will assist running the factory with 6 operatives.

This role will definitely need someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

All the work is centred on being able to manipulate sheet metal with hand tools, presses, cutting, forming and all the good stuff.

Experience needed

As well as having a wealth of experience as a Sheet Metal fabricator, you will also have had some experience of working as a foreman, team leader or supervisor in a sheet metal environment

You will need some exposure to:

• Mig or Tig welding; using light gauge stainless steel and aluminium
• Sheetmetal fabrication
• Punch Press setting -Ideally Amada Vipros
• Pressbrake Setting
• Sheetmetal assembly
• Some knowledge of CNC plasma programming and operating would be highly desirable, but is not critical
