Location: Ferryhill, County Durham
Salary: GBP15,870.40 pro rata, per annum (GBP8.72 per hour)
Contract: 30-hour part time position

About Us:

Oaklea's customers living in Ferryhill, County Durham are looking for a new employee to support them in their daily lives. The successful applicant will have a caring personality, good communication skills, friendly personality and a good sense of humour.

Support Workers / Lifestyle Co-ordinators - About the Role:

You will need to be able to work as part of a team and individually, provide a high standard of care to our customers and be flexible in your availability to work.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Support a number of individuals with learning and physical disabilities
• Support customers with challenging behaviours
• Support customers with manual handling including direct personal care
• Provide support with daily living skills e.g. banking, budgeting, cooking and social activities such as supporting our customers to go swimming, attending football matches, bowling and shopping
• Communicate effectively with the customer networks e.g. family, medical professionals
