Care Team Leader
Location: Penzance (Cornwall)

Working across Devon and Cornwall, Havencare Homes and Support Limited is a forward-thinking charity that provides social care services for people with learning disabilities and autism. Offering supported living and residential care services, we use a range of approaches to empower individuals, help them to be as independent as possible and nurture their potential with dignity and respect.

We’re currently looking for an additional Team Leader to join us and facilitate the delivery of our new supported living service in Penzance.

The successful candidate will need to work flexibility between Monday - Sunday (2 weekends in four), alongside the team and supporting the current Team Leader, hours are both on (minimum of 15 hours) and off rota (maximum of 22.5 hours) to accommodate the requirements of this role.

The Role

As a Team Leader - you will lead a team delivering 1:1 support and core background support within a shared hub for 8 individuals living in their own flats with access to a support hub.

In this role, you will play an important part in developing and delivering innovative person-centred services. You will ensure that the service consistently meets internal and external quality standards through the effective management of a team of Support Workers. In addition, you will be responsible for supervising the team so experience of supervisions and appraisals is essential.

You will collate and audit daily, weekly, and monthly records into our online support planning and ensure compliancy. You will ensure that all staff are aware of support outcomes and are consistently working with the people we support to achieve

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake some travel to attend external meetings.

About You

- Experience of supporting and providing services for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person-centred
- A driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- The flexibility to fulfil service needs
- Patience and a good-humoured nature
- Ambition and drive to make a real difference to people’s lives, it is important you are able to recognise this will be different for each individual
- You will role model positive service culture and influence the delivery of support to each individual

Closing date: The closing date for this vacancy is the 27th November 2020. Interviews are scheduled to be held on the week commencing the 30th November 2020.
