Plant Operative

An exciting position has become available for a full time Plant Operative to join our friendly team based in Worcester (WR5 2BA). The successful candidate will earn GBP18,252- GBP21,100 plus 10% shift allowance and overtime. Role Responsibilities

  • To ensure smooth operations of the plant through routine duties.
  • Effective communication and implementation of site rules
  • Operating equipment to minimise reject, waste and maximise plant performance.
  • Carry out tasks requested by the Operations Manager or any member of the business Management Team.
  • Responsibility for production unit's Safety culture and performance, ensure that Safety is always treated as the number one priority and that the teams operate in such a way as to minimise environmental impact
  • Following safe working practices and procedures including timely reporting of incidents and emergencies
  • Recognising hazards and risks and reporting them, developing safe systems of work from risk assessments and implement safety behavioural methods of work.
  • Complete any reasonable request from your line manager and any member of the management team
  • Report all process deviations that cannot be resolved by own level of knowledge and all malfunctions to equipment under control.
  • Must work to drive improvement in housekeeping standards within the production area constantly.
  • Responsible for prestart up checks and controlled shutdowns of equipment.
  • Responsible for front line maintenance checks as outlined in relevant task checklist
  • Responsible for day to day analysis and consequent actions aiming to improve process stability.

Company

Our client is a plasterboard recycling business who provide an integrated or stand-alone service either collecting material from construction sites using bags or skips.

The company works closely with a large worldwide plasterboard manufacturer to ensure that once recycled the material is properly utilised in the production process, whilst working to support developments to achieve higher ratios of recycled gypsum.
