A growing consumer product manufacturer is looking for a Junior Product Technologist / Compliance Assistant to assist with management of products, ensuring global compliance standards are met and all relevant testing certification is obtained. This growing brand supply major retailers in both the UK & US, and are going from strength to strength.

The successful candidate will be flexible, an excellent multi-tasker, and have a methodical approach. Highly organised, you will be a natural relationship builder, and always keen to learn and develop. With a passion for cosmetics and a keen interest in product, we are looking for someone looking to pursue a career within compliance.

Duties and responsibilities of this Junior Product Technologist / Compliance Assistant include:

  • Assist with organising and managing all technical data, ensuring tests and files are complete before shipment
  • Keep technical data in the appropriate files so it is easy to find for future projects
  • Input where appropriate on what testing needs to be completed and the price of testing so projects can be costed accurately
  • Ensure that any issues are quickly resolved, and key people are alerted
  • Build, develop and maintain supplier relationships so information is given in a timely manner including all technical data and audits
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues so you are up to date on projects
  • Understand the critical path of projects so you know that products are being delivered on time and to the correct technical spec
  • Learn to be technically proficient with all portals from clients and licensors
  • Work with the Technical Manager and safety assessors to get timely and detailed information back
  • Review all artwork for compliant safety text for the countries in which it will be shipped
  • Provide support and assistance to the wider business and departments as required

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

  • 1+ years' experience in an administrative or data driven role, with an interest in compliance and product
  • A degree associated with Formulation or Cosmetics would be beneficial
  • Some experience in product development or critical path management would be ideal
  • Highly accurate, numerate, methodical and analytical
  • Excellent organisational skills, deadline driven, and first class attention to detail
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to form solid relationships both internally and externally
  • Being comfortable when working under pressure and acting on your own initiative
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • A proactive approach, passionate and a real team player who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in!..... click apply for full job details
