IT Manager (Hands On) - Chichester
Our client in the Education sector is looking for a hands on IT Manager for an initial 3 month contract paying GBP20ph on a 35 hour working week 08:00 - 16:00. You will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and MIS across the school, cyber security, data safety, providing first and second line technical support for staff and pupils, providing advice to support the development of IT within the school's development plan and establish good working relationships and communication pathways with colleagues, parents and pupils.

*VMWare ESXi
*Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 and Windows 10
*Office 2016
*LAN WAN VLAN and Internet topologies, protocols and techniques
*MIS iSAMS and WCBS PASS - as these are specialist software packages training will be made available if required
Technical
oTo be operationally responsible for the on-premises physical infrastructure covering data and telecoms networks, server and storage systems and user devices across the school
oSet system management principles and standards
oEnable efficient connection to networks for the academic and administrative purposes of the School
oPerform installations, configuration, maintenance, upgrades and repairs as necessary to all IT hardware
oEnsure the efficient operation of all computer and telecommunication networks
oEnsure hardware (including network cabling) is maintained and repaired as necessary
oBasic maintenance, servicing and cleaning of hardware including printers
oFault-finding, replacing as necessary, maintaining service log for each computer and peripheral
oLiaise with contractors and suppliers to resolve any technical problems as they arise.
oCarry out maintenance and first line repairs to equipment
