Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to support a business change to provide dynamic and visual management information to provide effective decision-making capability. The role will support both the regional contract teams and the wider business in the deployment of both financial and non-financial information. This is a newly created role and comes with the autonomy to develop and shape it.
Job responsibilities
In this role you will take a lead role in the development and refinement of existing management information, such that it resonates and is understood by a wide stakeholder group. In addition you will lead a refinement and simplification project to streamline the business unit data capture, ensuring consistent, accurate and timely provision of management information. You will be providing assistance to local management teams in the development of Operational and Commercial performance metrics and develop early warning indicators, along with partnering to the Operational teams in the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including; productivity analysis, cost base analysis and other key KPI reporting. You will need to provide insight and analysis on performance drivers and trends to enable early identification of risks and opportunities, supporting key business processes, such as annual budgets and re-forecasts.
What do we need from you?
You will need to have a strong commercial acumen with experience of operating in a complex high volume transactional business along with advanced data analytic skills, preferably with experience of developing and deploying PowerBi. If you are part or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) with previous finance analyst experience and an effective communicator able to engage with a wider number of stakeholders to influence change then this could be the perfect role for you.
