What you will be doing?
Our water supply team are looking for an engineering technician to assist with our borehole replacement and general fitting. This will ensure 100% availability of our boreholes, providing high quality water at the lowest possible cost. It's a hands-on role that will see you carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive work.

Additional responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking all planned and reactive borehole changes in-house.
* Completing all mechanical work on other pump types.
* Helping to maintain the company's stock of critical borehole pumps.
* Carrying out appraisal of defective rotating plant equipment, if required.
* Carrying out detailed inspections and CCTV surveys.
* Stripping down and re-building pump assemblies.
* Promoting good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.
* Surveys of boreholes.
* Undertaking standby out of hours.


What we are looking for?
We are looking for a self-motivated Borehole Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Technician who has recent experience of operating within mechanical bias role. We're open to different industries, so if you have experience of operating within a mechanical fitting environment, then we want to hear from you!

To be considered, you ideally would have achieved an apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering discipline, along with a City and Guilds /NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical field. However we will consider applications from candidates with strong experience in a mechanical hands role.

The team are highly engaging, dedicated and committed to what they do. We are looking for individuals who will thrive in an energetic team but are able to self-sufficiently carry out their work with minimum supervision and complete tasks to tight deadlines. The successful candidate would have excellent health and safety awareness and IT literacy.

Due to the remote nature of this role, candidates will need to hold a valid full UK driving licence.
