The Company

International Freight forwarding and logistics company established over 40 years ago providing air, ocean, road and supply chain solutions around the world. Current contracts include Defence, Pharmaceutical, Perishables as well as a variety of General Cargo. 

Our client is continuing to expand their operations and is looking for several Import / Export Clerks to join the team at the Heathrow branch.

You will work with an interesting and diverse customer base, which includes royalty, diplomats, life-saving healthcare organisations and high-quality retailers.

The Role 

- Fortunate candidates will join one of three teams in Imports, Exports or Pharmaceuticals.
- Must have previous freight forwarding experience in at least one of the three. 
- Will be required to process an Imports or an Exports enquiry from start to finish.
- Therefore, will be dealing directly with customers and suppliers, checking rates, booking with airlines and shipping lines, cutting airway bills, keying customs entries, invoicing and following up etc.
- Shipments encompass a wide range which include electronics, machinery, aircraft parts, munitions, vehicles, retail clothing, perishables, high value goods, human remains, personal effects, artworks and Pharmaceuticals.

About You

- Must have previous experience working for a freight-forwarder.
- Must be able to process either an Imports or an Exports enquiry from start to finish.  
- Experience with air freight preferable over Ocean.
- Experience with BoxTop is a plus.
