The Role
As a Sensor Chemist, this is an exciting opportunity to join a small team, that manufacture a range of sensor technology in a clean-room environment. You will have responsibility for fabricating sensor transducers as well as development focused & quality focused activity.
* Production of all in-house manufactured sensors, working via defined/controlled processes
* Preparing of raw sensors prior to manufacture, sorting chemical solutions, anodization, sealing/passivation; vacuum deposition
* Manufacture of ceramic tile sensors, utilizing wet chemistry, anodization & PVD processes
* Documentation of all processes, & results, ensuring products are in-line with quality specifications
* Testing fresh sensors on verification system
* Production of Quartz CMB sensors using computer-controlled spray system
* Play an active part in R&D and Introducing new products to manufacture
* Ensure you are adept with CoSHH and maintain chemical register
The Ideal Candidate
Candidates need to show an excellent academic background in Chemistry, along with time-spent utilizing chemistry in an industrial process field. Candidates must have clean-room experience & chemistry knowledge that is relevant to the development of sensors
