Recroot are working with Cardiff Council who are looking for a Contact Tracer. You must be able to start ASAP hours between 8am-8pm, will be home working and equipment supplied. (37 hours a week over different shifts)

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the team delivering the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic on behalf of the Cardiff and Vale region. As we move from strict lockdown arrangements to the next phase of the welsh plan, comprehensive tracing and testing of people with suggestive symptoms will be required. Once identified, a team of Contact Advisors will be required to provide tailored and individual advice about self-isolating for those individuals and anyone they may have come in contact with. Team Leads are required to provide hands on support and guidance to these team members and oversee their performance targets as well as support the management team in further shaping the service. This is a significant and important task and all those involved will be playing a vital role in protecting residents and keeping them safe.

Your role will involve taking day-to-day responsibility to review the lists of contacts provided by Regional teams/other sources. Undertaking case interviews with individuals who have already been identified as symptomatic and/or confirmed as having Covid -19.Perform an initial public health risk assessment of Covid-19 cases identified for contact tracing in line with the contact tracing and management protocol and further protocols or guidance as indicated. Determine high or low risk contact and allocating calls to contact advisers. Manage complex contacts/calls escalated by contact advisers

You will need to have a Professional Status regulated by code of practice e.g. Allied Health Professional, Environmental Health, Social Worker, education, health and safety professionals.

Experience of providing public health, other healthcare or customer service advice directly to members of the public and knowledge of the principles of health protection as well as

experience of risk management and associated reporting. A methodical approach to case management , through identifying contacts is essential .

Ability to problem solve whilst working in an unpredictable environment, often under pressure and to tight timescales

Although attendance may be required at a call centre facility for a training period, it is anticipated that Team Managers will work from home utilizing digital solutions such as Microsoft Teams to communicate with team members both individual and in group settings, share documents

Shifts will be on a rota basis covering 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.

Full training and supervision will be provided.
