Operations Assistant

The SQL Workshop Limited operates as Cult Pens - an online retailer with a reputation for providing the best possible service to our customers. We are now seeking additional Operations Assistants to join our brilliant team.

As an Operations Assistant you will be responsible for processing customer orders, picking, checking and packing items ready for dispatch, whilst maintaining a high standard of tidiness within the warehouse. You will be working within a small friendly team.

To ensure continuation of our high standard of operational efficiency and customer service, a proactive attitude towards work, together with excellent team player skills and the ability to work well to deadlines, is paramount. Good IT skills are desirable.

We have vacancies in our afternoon shift 1.30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday, and our nightshift 9pm-6am, Sunday - Wednesday, please advise your availability in your application.

Main duties include:

• Picking, checking and packing customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets, with a high level of care and accuracy
• Counting stock to confirm the integrity of the company's stock holding
• Checking off goods in deliveries, ensuring all stock received is accurate and raising any inaccuracies to Warehouse Team Leader before stock is booked in and storing deliveries of stock
• Efficiently handling, storing and rotating stock, working within a team environment
• Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards within the warehouse
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy including shelf dusting
• Being adaptable and flexible in your approach to work

Key Attributes needed:

• Duties may involve some light, medium & heavy lifting, so you will need to be physically fit
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Good standard of numeracy
• Good communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Good IT Skills
• To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team

Qualifications Needed:

• 5 good GCSEs to include Maths and English
