Millbank are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst working in a state of the art manufacturing facility in Barry, this role is a permanent full time.

The Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support and assist the Finance Manager. Providing financial reporting, support & guidance to the local management teams, and ensuring financial controls are maintained.

The candidate must be able to work in an under pressured environment, working towards demanding deadlines, and working with their own initiative.

Key Duties and responsibilities

?? Ensure financial controls are robustly maintained.

?? Month end accounting & reporting activities, typically journals, analysis, investigation, presenting to management teams.

?? Financial analysis of monthly results, project plans, ad-hoc requests (variances v budget, forecast and plans).

?? Understanding manning costs and management of those types of expenditure.

?? Support production of key performance indicators including unit costs & total delivered cost.

?? Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and business plans (with appropriate challenge).

?? Capital investment project assessments, approval and reporting.

?? Financial administration, review & authorization activities, including purchase orders, internal procedures etc.

?? Attend & where necessary lead finance meetings with local managers

?? Process review & Continuous Improvement activities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (2:1 minimum)
  • Recognised professional accountancy qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
  • In-depth accounting & reporting experience within a large company environment with demanding timetables.
  • Good IT & strong MS Office skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication & reporting skills
  • Proactive & organized approach to work & demonstrated problem solving experience.
  • Working within manufacturing businesses.
  • Familiar with a range of business / ERP / operating systems.
  • Experience of working within newly created businesses or teams.
  • Working within multisite businesses.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing variances, budgeting, forecasting, costing, inventory - doing her module in exam.
  • Practical process improvement / continuous improvement experience.

?? Supervisory experience

?? Having a driving license is essential.
