My client is currently looking for an experienced commercial wood machinist.
Ideally you will have 2-3 years experience in this or a similar trade and be able to demonstrate that you can perform your daily tasks to a high quality.
You will be required to cut timber to the correct size for each bespoke project and ensure that you select the correct stock and timber type
Once you have assembled all your required materials you will be responsible for manufacturing the finished product ready for delivery or site assembly
Whilst there are no specific qualifications required you must be proficient in using a variety of wood cutting machinery and basic hand tools. Some form of carpentry qualification would be useful as would a working knowledge of health and safety.
Personally you will be self motivated and hard-working and capable of working on your own initiative.
Hours of work 6.55 AM to 4.35 PM Monday to Friday
Overtime is required when demand is high ( 1 in 4 Saturdays)
A Driving Licence is preferred along with any forklift experience and or Health and Safety knowledge
