Salary: GBP45k + car / allowance + pension + benefits

Based: Suffolk

Arguably the UK's leading highways contractor now has an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team!

The role will be based on a key highways framework contract in Suffolk. They have recently secured the project, which will run for the next 6 years with the potential to extend thereafter.

The highway civil works involved will revolve around maintenance and upgrade contracts ranging in value up to GBP3m but forming an overall GBP45m per annum contract.

This Quantity Surveyor position will see you work closely with the Contracts Manager and Business Operations Director to ensure the framework is being delivered to the targets set.

The team you will be joining currently comprises of eight commercial staff reporting to the Lead Commercial Manager. As Quantity Surveyor you will be required to oversee key packages ranging from light to medium-sized civils and maintenance schemes.

The position will suit a Surveyor with the following background:

• Highways / Utilities / Civils framework experience
• Good client interfacing skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a team

As well as the above criteria a solid background in administering and working on NEC projects will be required for the chosen Quantity Surveyor.
