Your new school

Hays Education are working in partnership with a growing SEN school in Leicestershire who are looking to appoint a Teacher on a permanent basis. The school accommodates for students aged 8-18 who have struggled to access mainstream education. The school provides specialist education and care to students with a statement of Special Education Needs. These can include Moderate and Complex learning difficulties and SEMH needs.

Your responsibilities

You will plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the schools plans, curriculum and schemes of work. You will assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment. You will adapt your teaching based on strengths and needs of pupils and use a variety of teaching and learning styles to keep all pupils engaged. You will set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.

What you'll need to succeed

For this role, you have Qualified Teacher Status and have recent teaching experience in a SEN or SEMH school. You will have a proven track record of delivering high quality teaching and raising pupil attainment. You will also be able to evidence a commitment to your own professional development.
