Practice Accounts Assistant - Salisbury

Experienced practice accounts assistant bookkeeper AAT qualified to work in Salisbury practice

You will be working for one the South's leading independent accounting practice firms in the Business Services Team based in Salisbury.

The role will involve the preparation of accounts and tax returns, together with bookkeeping services and VAT returns for a wide range of clients, so it is essential that you have current/previous.

Duties are likely to include preparation of financial information, including accounts, reports and returns for a wide range of clients; preparation and submission of tax returns; providing bookkeeping services, including the recording of income and expenditure, matching transactions to bank statements and summarising expenditure types; preparation and submission of VAT returns; preparation and submission of CIS returns for clients.

You will be using computer software to record financial transactions, including Excel, Word, Cloud accounting software and other financial packages (experience in various Cloud accounting software packages would be an advantage but training will be provided).

It is likely that the successful applicant will be AAT qualified (this is not essential) but you will need to have extensive relevant accounts and bookkeeping experience, preferably gained within another accountancy firm. You will be experienced in various cloud accounting software packages (i.e. Xero, QuickBooks) and will be competent in working with figures and be able to understand the significance of calculations. You will be able to work well within a team and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
