Senior Accountant
This opportunity is based with a well-known and highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Leek.
I'm helping them to appoint a Senior Accountant to report to the Manager and look after a portfolio of general practice clients. The client work will be varied and you'll enjoy a very high degree of autonomy and hands on client contact. Experience of agricultural clients would be a highly attractive skill.
This is a full time but reduced hours will also be considered.
Indicative Responsibilities
- Reporting to the onsite Manager
- Preparation of accounts for clients and assistance with business advisory work
- Completing monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns
- Self-assessment tax return preparation including assisting with tax planning and advisory work
- Dealing with HMRC correspondence
- Building a positive working relationship with clients and assisting them with any queries or assistance they may need
