My client are a family run business based near Melton Mowbray. They have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts/ Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Accounts Assistant - The Role
??Sales and Purchase Ledger
??Manage a weekly payment run. This will include international TT transfers and local BACS transfers. Using various bank accounts and multi-currency.
??Use of HSBCnet
??Regular supplier reconciliations.
??Querying purchases invoices received.
??Recharges to factories of relevant costs.
??Management of price lists in SAP
??Maintaining good relationships with suppliers
??Regular reconciliations of customer accounts.
??Credit Control. Support customers with query invoices.
??Supporting shippers with invoicing errors and queries.
??Recharges to customers for agreed costs.
??Maintaining good relationships with customers
??Maintenance of bank account balances. Transferring funds where necessary.
??Weekly bank reconciliations of all currency and GBP accounts
??Invoice Finance drawdowns
??Credit Card reconciliations
??Emails, timely and professional replies.
??Daily Post opening and redistribution
??Filing
??Stationery Orders
??Assistance and support with Audits (FYE, IF and Bank)
??Other ad-hoc duties where required.
??Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
??Assist with and understand how your work links into management reports including posting journals necessary for final TB.
??Understand and monitor system GL determination and consider impact of any GL changes.
??Review all system clearing accounts postings and ensure all variances are documented and analysed.
??Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
??Assisting in the preparation of the annual plan/budget and ad-hoc forecasts as necessary
??Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
??Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
Accounts Assistant - The Candidate
We are seeking a hardworking and professional candidate with an AAT qualification and experience in a similar role including experience of purchase and sales ledger.
You will have a high standard of education and strong literacy and numeracy skills.
