Job Description:

Our client is a leading and well-respected manufacturing company who specialise within the Oil & Gas industry. Due to increased demand they are now looking for a regional Sales Manager for Original Equipment manufactured at their HQ.

The Commercial/Sales Team are responsible for the development of New Business (Original Equipment) opportunities globally within Oil & Gas, Water, Power, Chemicals, Refining, and Nuclear markets. As well as the development of customer relationships and securing new business, this role is responsible for delivering contract awards and achieving set targets.

Duties:

  • Targeting North Sea, Norway and Scotland.
  • This role will be focused mainly on offshore new and AM business in the North Sea and Norway, as well as working with clients in Scotland.
  • Responsible for Original Equipment sales which includes but not limited to Submersible pump and motors, Subsea motors, BWCP pumps and motors, Canned Motor Pumps, as well as Nuclear products in an assigned territory
  • Plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities, maintain and develop sales of new equipment offered to major accounts and new customers in accordance with agreed business plans
  • Manage sales to Pump OEMs, EPCs as required, achieving division objectives.
  • Promoting value-added to all customers at all stages of the selling cycle.
  • Travel expected will be 50-75%, hence, flexible approach to hours and travel is required.
  • Identifying and bringing in enquiries and following the proposal process to ensure that the proposal is competitive, accurate and on time.
  • Passing on leads for aftermarket opportunities to the Head of Sales - Original Equipment for follow up with AM sales team.
  • Periodically reviewing sales materials to provide recommendations for their improvement
  • Submitting trip reports on a weekly basis and maintaining pipeline data accuracy and completeness using Salesforce. Ensuring that all leads and customer contact details are accurate. Maintaining details and status of all assigned accounts in specified market/territory. Maintain an accurate sales forecast and customer engagement/visit reporting.
  • Daily follow-up of CRM tasks. Examples of information include: sales activities (calls, emails, visits), competition, pricing compared to competition, cost, delivery, warranty, lost sales review, etc.
  • Support Continuous improvement efforts through involvement in structured problem solving and other activities using LEAN concepts.

The Candidate

  • Prior experience working with Pump OEM, EPCs
  • Technical or business education supported with technical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years technical sales experience.
