Management Accountant - Manufacturing

Based on the outskirts of Preston in Leyland, this established dynamic and growing manufacturing business within the construction sector are recruiting a talented Management Accountant to support exciting times ahead. Driven by a supportive, commercial and highly experienced senior management team the business continues to grow and look forward to exciting expansion plans in 2021. Part of the plans will see the site and business move to a new home in the local area, providing the opportunity to further enhance the business proposition and manufacturing capacity.

Your new role as Management Accountant:

As Management Accountant you shall support the Finance Director and Senior Management Team in the preparation and completion of monthly Management Accounts including P+L commentary. You shall ensure all financial transactions are recorded, filed, and reported accurately and be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and Cash flow management. As Management Accountant you shall review all financial plans and budgets and provide timely and accurate analysis to support commercial decisions. You shall be responsible for supporting year-end preparation and audit with further exposure to "ad hoc" accounts projects in support of new business ventures and further expansion. You shall support a migration of processes to Sage 200 and seek to develop internal process and controls to improve valuable commercial strength. Operating in a manufacturing environment, where no day is the same, you shall also be exposed to various departments and partner with them, providing financial analysis and commentary to support varying department heads in the decision-making process.

The Experience & Qualifications Required:

In order to be considered you shall be a fully Qualified accountant or actively working towards CIMA/ACA/ACCA. With experience of the manufacturing environment in a similar role, you shall be technically strong and have the capacity to provide analysis and commercial insight. With experience as a Management Accountant you shall have strong Excel skills with experience of a Sage accounting system, ideally Sage 200.
