Public Sector Engagement Coordinator

It's an exciting time to join us, as HM Land Registry (HMLR) is committed to becoming the world's leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data, and aiming to achieve comprehensive registration by 2030.

We are looking to appoint two Public Sector Engagement Coordinator's to support the delivery of HM Land Registry's (HMLR) Comprehensive Registration Strategy.

Working alongside a dedicated team, you will be responsible for engaging with a wide variety of public sector bodies from Local Authorities through to Central Government departments, building relationships, negotiating and influencing them to enter in to programmes of work to comprehensively register their land assets.

Public Sector Engagement Coordinator Responsibilities:

The role is varied as no two customers are the same. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of a programme of work with a public body, including initial engagement, analysis of data to identify unregistered assets, supporting the customer in entering into a land registration project, and maintaining the relationship until the project is complete.

The role requires a confident communicator, someone who is comfortable working with a range of key stakeholders both internally with other HMLR departments and externally with customers. The ability to understand the complex challenges within the public sector and develop true partnership approaches to problem solve and overcome them are key factors for success.

These roles will involve occasional travel with overnight stays (in line with government advice) and due to the remote locations of Public Sector Partner's, a full UK driving licence would be beneficial. These roles require a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Public Sector Engagement Coordinator Requirements:

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will be able to handle sensitive discussions and deal with difficult questions effectively. You will have the ability to negotiate and influence and jointly overcome obstacles in order to achieve individual registration needs.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate experience in understanding data and ensuring accuracy, with good attention to detail and the ability to make recommendations on your findings.
