We are now looking for a part-time Service Co-ordinator to join us on a contract until 31st March 2021. This may be extended subject to continuation of funding.

If you have great communication skills and a highly organised approach, this is the ideal role in which to do more, help people and oversee some incredible services that are making a huge difference to older people in Stirling.

You'll discover that we make a difference every day and supports those who need us the most. Utilising the generous gift of time that our volunteers donate, we strive to improve the lives of older people and particularly those who have become isolated or are in, or are just returning home from, hospital.

As a Service Co-ordinator, you will support the delivery of our Supporting Your Recovery service, which includes our on-ward and Supporting You at Home services.

The service helps people on wards with nutrition, hydration and both cognitive and physical exercises to support a successful discharge and a home from hospital service which, in turn, supports engagement with patients' communities and activities of interest.

The overall aim of the service is to reduce recovery times and readmissions. Volunteers who deliver the service will also seek to impact upon feelings of loneliness and isolation that may be felt after prolonged stays in hospital.

Some of your duties will involve:

- Supporting the recruitment and co-ordination of volunteers and their activities
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key local contacts
- Ensuring we comply with key statutory standards
- Completing a range of admin tasks

Interested? To be considered, you will need:

- Knowledge of the NHS, commissioning groups and local authority commissioning, including health and social care bodies
- Good IT skills
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- The ability to act on your own initiative within agreed parameters
- At a minimum, National 5 (N5) qualifications or GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above

Self-motivated and resourceful, as the Service Co-ordinator, you'll have excellent interpersonal skills. A great eye for detail, a positive attitude and superb time-management abilities are also key.

This is a part-time role, working 15 hours per week.

The closing date for applications is the 8th October 2020.
