Credit Control Manager

Cathedral Appointments is looking for a Credit Control Manager to join our client on a permanent basis. Working as part of the Finance team, you will proactively contribute towards the overall success of the organisation and be responsible for managing and supporting the credit control team. The ideal candidate should have experience in a similar management role and have a proven track record for reducing debt against challenging targets. As a natural forward-thinker, you should challenge current systems and procedures, and drive forward changes to improve ways of working.

We are looking for candidates who can Identify and propose solutions to problems and encourage team members to contribute constructively within a positive team culture, whilst ensuring Senior Management have visibility of performance against KPIs through regular reports and confident dialogue.

This role will form a key part in an effective and timely service to the business in line with established mission and values and you will endeavour to promote a culture of ownership, flexibility and teamwork within the group and develop individuals through training and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Operations are completing client set up in accordance with Company procedure
• Keep client contract database up to date
• Responsible for the effective management of the credit control team to ensure company deadlines are met
• Implementation of systems and methods to monitor performance of department

?? Processing invoices that accurately reflect customer agreements. Timely resolution of queries on Rates and Grades

• Produce and distribute performance & adhoc reports to Senior Management and Operations

?? Collect payment of invoices within agreed timeframes

?? Setting, monitoring and enforcing credit limits in accordance with company procedure

?? Issue procedural letters as per company deadlines (reminder letters, pre legal letters etc.)

?? Timely and regular review of credit stopped clients to ensure appropriate level of customer services

?? Issue court documentation where applicable

?? Regular review of bad debts and appropriate provisions are reflected in the accounts

?? Administering Direct Debit payment scheme

?? Consolidating client accounts

Requirements:

?? 2-5 years' experience in similar role

?? A good understanding of balance sheet analysis, credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits

?? Experience in a commercial facing finance role

?? A proven track record of developing and mentoring team members

?? Excellent communicator with the ability to discuss and present verbally and/or in writing to all levels of management in a concise manner.

?? A strong Team Player with the ability to engage and work with colleagues in a cross-functional environment

?? Flexible and adaptive with the ability to manage daily workload and commitments

?? Willing to listen, encourage and support ideas from all levels within the organisation

?? Ability to support and challenge non-financial managers

?? Passionate about providing high level service to internal and external stakeholders

?? Experience of contractual review and negotiation of terms and conditions

?? Excellent attention to detail and able to work on own initiative

?? Self-starter with high personal energy

The ideal candidate will ideally be ICM Qualified with previous experience in as either a credit supervisor or credit Manager. AAT or relevant Finance qualification is desirable but not essential.
