North Yorkshire based Project Worker (Child Sexual Exploitation) required for an immediate start

Role: Project Worker (Child Sexual Exploitation)

Based: North Yorkshire - Home Based with travel across North Yorkshire

Rate: GBP12 - 15 ph dependent on experience

Length: 6 months (until end of March 2021)

Hours: 20 hours

Start: Immediate

Our client, a respected national Children's Charity, are recruiting for a North Yorkshire based Project Worker to work on their Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation service.

The successful candidate will be supporting and advocating on behalf of children and young people who have experience/ are experiencing of CSE and/or CCE and those who are vulnerable to grooming and will be working as part of a specialist CSE Hub to protect vulnerable young people across Yorkshire.

You will be carrying a complex caseload of clients and will be identifying and making contact with sexually exploited young people through a range of outreach and referral methods, developing effective and sensitive relationships.

You will be working in partnership with workers from key service providers to ensure that young people receive sensitive and timely services in line with good practice guidance for sexually exploited children and young people and safeguarding.

You will be construct interventions to resolve young people's issues, including utilising child protection and safeguarding systems and practices where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Safeguarding Children policies and guidelines
• Previous experience working with vulnerable young people - this can include supported housing, social care/ work, therapeutic support and/ or youth work
• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with victims of CSE and/or CCE or County Lines
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal
