DVC Sports Centre Duty Officer
Part time (20hrs per week), permanent
Salary; GBP17,061 (GBP9,222 pro-rata) per annum
Location; Dearne Valley College, Rotherham
The Role
We are looking to recruit a Duty Officer to join the DVC Sports Centre team in providing a customer focused service to all of our learners, employees and members.
You will be responsible for the operational day to day activities of the Sports Centre whilst on duty, including Customer Service, Health & Safety and management of bookings.
As part of the Sports facility's operational management team you will carry out day-to-day management of the facility, providing leadership and support to all staff and as part of the operational rota provide, where appropriate, cover for planned and unplanned absences of staff as well as class cover where needed.
Have you got what it takes?
You should hold a minimum of a Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and a full First Aid at Work qualification.
You should have experience of supervisory responsibilities and significant knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a sports and leisure centre environment.
Applicants should be able to work flexibly as the role involves working evenings, weekends and early morning on a rota basis taking responsibility for opening and securing the premises.
