My client is looking for a multiskilled maintenance engineer on a permanent basis, starting on day shifts moving to double days 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the following;

• Trained to service and repair equipment, mechanical and electrical, fitting spares and carrying out quality inspections across the facility.
• Checking and calibrating instruments to ensure they are accurate.
• Respond to machine/equipment breakdowns immediately
• Ensure timely repair of simple breakdowns, assist with root cause identification and solutions put in place to prevent repeated failures.
• Accurately complete all engineering related paperwork & documentation for all projects and activities.
• Develop a training package for production operatives, which will develop/prepare them for progression to Machine Minder status.

Experience required

• City & Guilds 2357 Level 3 NVQ electro technical technology (LV2 minimum).
• AM2 Certificate of electro technical occupational competence.
• 17th/18th. Edition electrical qualification BS7671.
• Mechanical experience. NVQ lv2/3 multi-skilled maintenance.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Experience of working in a food-manufacturing/fmcg environment.
• Capable of working under pressure and being accountable for actions taken.
• Able to work as part of a multi-skilled team and promote team working at all times.
• Able to prioritise, adaptable to change and able to implement new changes in a constructive manner consistent with a fast-paced environment...... click apply for full job details
