Fawkes & Reece are pleased to be assisting a highly successful, fast growing main contractor with a search for an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for a new build scheme in Hertfordshire.
This well regarded business has a long standing history in the residential sector and a proven track record of successfully delivering high value schemes across the South of the UK. The company operates out of multi offices across the UK and has an annual turnover exceeding half a billion pounds.
This is a great opportunity to work on a residential new build scheme in Hertfordshire which will consist of 240 residential units worth circa GBP55 million, reporting into a site based Senior Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the scheme.
Daily duties will include assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with procurement, handling contracts, managing sub contractor packages, handling variations, managing payments and assisting with the ongoing commercial success of the project whilst saving costs and minimising risk to the business.
The suitable candidate will have a stable main contracting background with previous exposure to working on JCT Design & Build contracts. You will be self motivated and career minded with a proven track record of successfully working on schemes from start to finish under a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
