Supply Chain Optimisation Manager

Being the difference Role Purpose :

The Optimisation Manager will be responsible for inventory controls throughout the Belron UK network incorporating the Bardon DC, MDC centres in the UK and all BUK Stock Points.

Working closely with various departments within the supply chain to ensure that the stock levels are at the optimum level to ensure right first time and stock availability targets. The optimisation manager will also be responsible for labour management through out the UK Supply Chain ensuring we are aligned with budget.

This role will also be responsible for the transport network within the UK.

Key Acountabilites:

Inventory & Stock Management

Working closely with the supply chain network to improve efficiencies in day to day activities including picking, storage,packing, despatch and returns
Accountability for insight and improvement activity for stock management costs associated within the supply chain and the wider Belron UK Network
Implementation of improvements within Belron UK Network associated with stock management
Review and implement new technology to improve stock accuracy throughout the supply chain
Implementation of supersessions to ensure that the stock profile is up to date
Review and iprovements of the stock storage solutions through the Belron UK Network
Work closely with the planning and forecast team to ensure that the stock levels are achievable and prevent any overspill stock ensuring safe storage of all products throughout the BUK Network
Introduce, monitor and improve best practice across all Belron UK stock points
Complete timing studies to improve efficiencies within the Belron UK Network

Labour Planning & Efficiency

Ownership of the workforce planning from a process and system perspective including agency workers throughout the UK Supply Chain
Ensure the shifts and teams are aligned to customer demand, meet service and KPI's
Improvement of pick locations on a monthly basis ensuring that the stock is in the most efficient location
Key metric reporting on a daily, monthly, and annual basis
Management of the agency work force working alongside both the DC and MDC management team
Sales and organisation planning ownership of the UK Supply Chain.
Management of the workforce in line with flexing demand

Transport Planning & Efficiency

Overview of the UK (DC & MDC) delivery routes and monitor any changes and impact to customer and financials for internal and 3rd party transport.
Utilise planning software and Belron?? expertise to improve van efficiency on a regular basis
