Children's Support worker - Domestic abuse and Trauma Specialist
Better Healthcare are looking for Experience Children's Residential Support workers to support our London Based Clients.
You will be working closely with a vulnreable teenager who has experienced severe trauma, who is subject to DOLs. You will need to provide specialist quality support maintaining a safe living environment for the teenager.
Key Skills:
Must demonstrate compassion and empathy to teenagers who have experience trauma
Strong experience supporting young people with mental health issues
You will liaise closely with social workers, mental health specialists, children's nurses, health visitors, midwives, psychiatrists and psychologists and teachers
understanding of the risks associated with lone working
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues
Experience developing risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, working with young people with complex needs who have suffered trauma and providing education workshops
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in social Work
2+ years' experience in Family support worker role or similar
