Senior IT Systems Administrator

As the Senior IT Systems Administrator, you'll lead a highly engaged team to deliver first class support to internal customers whilst ensuring all IT systems remain highly available and secure.

In this role you will be challenged to continuously innovate and learn as we strive towards a cloud first strategy with an emphasis on process improvement and self service.

You will participate and lead workshops, sharing knowledge with other teams and evaligising best operational practices.

Responsibilities:

• Managing, installing and configuring impactful IT systems

• Monitoring end-to-end system performance

• Troubleshooting and providing root cause analysis

• Ensuring IT infrastructure remains secure and highly available

• Delivering first class support to internal customers and ensuring the team meet all SLAs

• Managing large scale virtual and physical workstation deployments

• Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls

• Upgrading systems with new releases and models

• Advocating good IT practices and principles

• Own and maintain site security CCTV and Alarms

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server 2012/16/19 and Active Directory Administration

• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, switching, routing and firewalls

• Working knowledge of Hyper-V and other Virtualization technologies

• Understanding of Backup, Recovery and DR best practices

• Experience in customer facing roles

• Ability to write scripts in Python, Powershell or other language

• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
