We are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Technologist on a 6 month FTC. This is a home based role with travel required to Starbucks Head office (Chiswick) once or twice a month.

Job Opportunity

The role of the Starbucks and Samworth Brother's technical implant supports the technical function with the revision of the Starbucks specifications and the cleansing of the Starbucks Data Platforms. Supporting in the implementation of the Starbucks UK new specification system is a fundamental element to the role working cross functionally with stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Review product specifications and support Starbucks and their suppliers in getting the new Starbucks specification system implemented
  • Assess product specifications to determine the correct allergen / nutritional information for each item
  • Carry out cleansing of the different databases and updating with correct information
  • Devise a plan in how to update and check that information is accurate on an on going basis
  • Co-ordination of all activities relating to this project and procedure for future maintenace
  • Interaction with Starbucks teams in fact finding what is required by the people who use the data and what makes things easy for them
  • Ensure all timings are agreed and achieved
  • Maintain product information databases and critical files


The Right Person

You will be someone who is self-motivated and focussed on the customer. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have the following skills:

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a technical role within food manufacturing (chilled preferable but not essential)
  • Relevant degree in Food or related subject
  • Legal labeling - allergen training
  • Have a good understanding of allergens and legislations
  • Specification knowledge / experience
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems - ability to use word, excel, PowerPoint and access
  • Working from home but some travel to Starbuck's HO in Chiswick
