Community Care Assistant

Whether you have experience or are new to care, we provide you with full training and ongoing support to enable you to develop and learn new skills.

Due to popular demand we are now recruiting for full-time and part-time Care Support Workers to work weekday shifts; Mornings 7am-2.30pm and Evenings 3.30pm-10pm based in Cardross.

The Role:

As a Care Support Workers your tasks would include:

• Assisting customers with their daily living needs
• Personal Care
• Medication
• Meal Preparation
• Shopping
• Cleaning and more

Due to the location of our customers, you must hold a driving license and have access to your own vehicle.

We do require you to:

• Have a genuine desire to help others
• Be punctual and flexible
• Have the confidence to work alone and as part of a team
• Be able to travel between customers homes

Every customer is different, so the support and help that you provide will depend on your customer's needs, which will be assessed and regularly monitored by our quality officers.

You'll be fully supported with practical and emotional help from our friendly office-based teams to help you confidently deliver care. We also offer you the opportunity to study and develop your career. MyLife support all of our staff in their ability to excel and achieve and are always looking for Care Workers who want to progress further in the future. You must be able to start work at 7am for early shifts and finish around 10pm for late shifts. We have a number of shift patterns which can be discussed at interview, but you must be able to work some weekends.

This role is subject to a Disclosure Scotland PVG membership and you will need to provide proof of a full UK driving licence and your right to reside and work in the UK. From October 2017 as a care support worker in Scotland you will be required to register within 60 days with SSSC. We will give you more information at interview.
