Gas and heating service manager, Warrington

The Hours:
40 Hours per week working 08.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday

The Package:
GBP40-42K per annum + overtime (depending on experience) 31 days' holiday, company vehicle/car allowance

The Role:
Working out of our busy Service office in Warrington, you would be responsible managing the safe delivery of all aspects of the support divisions gas, heating, hot water and ventilation maintenance. Overseeing a team of gas and heating service engineers whom maintain heating, gas water and ventilation systems across predominately the north of the UK. Ensuring all works are undertake safely, efficiently and to the businesses required standard.

Position overview:

  • Managing the gas, heating and ventilation engineers, ensuring that moral is kept high and that works are being completed efficiently by the engineers to Bmech's required standard.

  • Surveying and quoting works.

  • Ensuring works are completed by the engineers in a timely and professional manner.

  • Divisional health and safety / legal compliance to include overseeing of divisional RAMS, accident reporting and ensuring all operative are qualified to undertake the works expected of them.

  • Supporting engineers with technical support when required.

  • Ensuring that the engineers are completing all forms of service paperwork and digital forms to the required standard.

  • Ensuring that the engineers are correctly using the job management software and keeping the engineers upskilled on the software.

  • Ensuring engineers complete works in a timely manner.

  • Supporting the co-ordinators to allow works to be planned in and completed efficiently.

  • Ideally willing to attend emergency call outs and work on the tools when no engineers are avaiable.


The ideal candidate will have the following requirements, qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience of commercial gas maintenance, including being fully qualified to COCN1/CODNCO1

  • Previous experience in the same or similar role is beneficial

  • Have full knowledge of Gas Safe Regulations

  • Ideally have a working knowledge of Oil & LPG fuel systems

  • Have full technical knowledge of gas regulations

  • Needs to be able to work under pressure & be flexible to suit the demands of the business.

  • Be polite, prepositional yet and hungry for growth within the business.

  • Will to work in and be able to build a team.
