Volunteer Role Title: Major Donor Volunteer Researcher
Responsible to: Director: Kentish Town London - London
Hours per Week: Flexible hours, ideally 1 and a half day a week

Looking forward our task now is to create a new position and we are recruiting a Major Donor Volunteer Researcher to support growth, sustainable unrestricted income and diversify the portfolio to reduce dependency on these income streams, ensuring stability and security for the future. The goal of the Major Donor Volunteer Researcher is therefore to develop and implement in line with the vision, aims and objectives of Elfrida Rathbone Camden. A Major Donor strategy which delivers restricted and unrestricted income over multi-year planned giving programmes. This new role presents opportunities for creative thinking, initiative, and significant organisational-wide impact
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Strategy and Planning
1.1. Create a three-year Major Donor strategy to meet the immediate and longer-term needs of the charity. Including the development of an ERC "Offer" to potential donors
1.2. Develop a main supporter database to identify and research major donor prospects and insights.
1.3. Using research tools, create major donor profiles.
1.4. Manage project visits and other major donor cultivation events as appropriate.
1.5. Identify and develop necessary systems and processes to support the growth of major donor income across the charity.
2. Income Generation and Donor Stewardship
2.1. Using the database and our network of staff, trustees, and supporters, identify, research, approach and cultivate new and existing prospects.
2.2. Provide briefings for Elfrida Rathbone Camden representatives involved in meetings or events with major donors. Work with colleagues, trustees, and supporters to facilitate and secure personal introductions and meetings with prospects.
2.3. Implement and create tailored presentation materials to evidence the need and personal, timely reports to evidence the impact.
2.4. Lead negotiations and secure income from Major Donors, ensuring all parties are involved internally and externally and all are in full agreement with commitments on both sides.
3. Managing Relationships
3.1. Work closely with the Director, trustees, staff, and existing supporters to map and build on their networks and mobilise introductions / asks.
3.2. Establish and maintain a thorough data management system to track and record communications with prospects and donors.
3.3. Build and develop cross-organisational relationships to facilitate fundraising and strengthen the organisation's understanding of the Major Donor format and function.
4. Reporting and Budgets
4.1. Working with the Director to set annual Major Donor income and expenditure targets and set out appropriate activities to ensure these are met or exceeded.
5. Other
5.1. Represent Elfrida Rathbone Camden at weekend and evening events if required.
5.2. Be aware of the changing external environment to pick up on opportunities and keep abreast of current trends, circumstances or topical issues that will enhance the event or the charity.
5.3. Maintain and further develop data capture requirements for the contacts database and progress database changes with the Director.
5.4. Undertake any other responsibilities or duties requested by the Director The post holder will work within all policies, procedures and budgets set by Elfrida Rathbone Camden.

• The post holder will form effective working relationships with all staff members, volunteers, and outside organisations as appropriate.
• The post holder must accept responsibility for ensuring that the policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety in the workplace are always adhered to.
• The post holder must respect the confidentiality of data stored electronically and by other means in line with the Data Protection Act.
• The post holder will not disclose to an unauthorised person any confidential information acquired through official duties unless they have received official permission to do so. Volunteer Role: Major Donor Researcher Elfrida Rathbone Camden works with young, disabled people to increase their independence, empowerment and involvement in the community and to support their families.
