Watkin Jones are now looking for a Development Manager to join our Team, to take responsibility for the progress and procurement of potential new developments through the technical, legal, planning and financial stages to starting on site, whilst assisting with development of technical specifications and detailing.

You’ll work in close partnership with Development Directors, Investment Teams and all relevant parties for New Scheme Development, in relation to procurement of land, best use of the procured land and will ensure viable proposals are meeting market demands, from providing the initial design to checking all technical reports required for planning submissions.

Assisting with the development of technical specifications, for our Build To Rent (BTR) and Student Accommodation, you will develop and facilitate layout design, assist with the appointment of consultants for the new schemes, whilst providing technical information / drawings for legal documentation.

About You

Educated to Degree HND or equivalent, you will hold an NVQ Level 4 and will have excellent construction experience and a sound understanding of development process. With CAD knowledge preferred, you’ll have excellent planning abilities and building regulation knowledge.An effective leader, confident in participating in meetings, you’ll have good communication skills and be competent with Microsoft Office Packages.
