Consulo First are seeking a dynamic and highly self-motivated Sales Engineer for a World leading manufacturer of technologically sophisticated components.
The company specialise in Bearings, Linear Motion and Mechatronic technology with manufacturing facilities and sales offices across the UK, Europe and America
The companies products are considered best in class with a presence across Automation & Robotics, Medical & Pharma, Food & Drink, Machine Tool OEM's and General Engineering
The Role;
Reporting to the Sales Manager the Sales Engineer you will be responsible for developing new sales contacts, research into customer needs and ultimately drive new business across the assigned geographical area
Responsibilities
* Determining market strategies and goals for each product and service offering
* Research and develop lists of potential customers
* Follow up on sales leads and making calls to potential customers that would have the propensity to utilise the company's products and services
* Using digital marketing initiatives like LinkedIn for gathering potential business customers and points of contact.
* Maintain up to date understanding of industry trends and technical development that effect target markets
* Maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
* Work directly with customers to establish a communication path with the customers
* Developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and services
* Maintain up to date awareness of activities , industry trends and government regulations.
* Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
* Establish long term, on-going repeat relationships.
* Close deals and finalise contracts
Requirements
An HNC/HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or any other similar qualification in Mechanical
3-5 years of experience selling sophisticated components to OEM's and End Users
A knowledge of Bearings, Linear Motion, Mechatronics, Actuators or Pneumatics desirable but not essential
A high aptitude in sales and business development with a passion for winning new business and cultivating long term client relationships
An ability to develop strategies that result in revenues and organisational success
Proficient in Windows based applications , Word, Excel, Power point etc
